My Story

Ghana, Canada, and a calling discovered.

I was born in Ghana and moved to Canada when I was nine years old. That journey — adapting to a new home, a new culture, and a new game — shaped the perspective and resilience I bring to coaching today.

I currently serve as the Head Coach of the Senior Boys program at University Hill Secondary, and Head Coach of the U13 Boys and Girls programs at Empower Basketball. I'm completing a Diploma in Kinesiology at Langara College, deepening my understanding of human performance and development.

Basketball coaching was not originally my plan. But after being encouraged to coach by my athletic director, I quickly discovered my passion for helping young people grow through sport — and I've been all-in ever since.

I see myself as a teacher and a friend first, and a dedicated student of the game always. I'm constantly learning and refining, because the more I grow, the more I can give the players who trust me. Along the way I've come to believe that strong relationships aren't a nice-to-have — they're where winning teams begin.
