My Philosophy
The beliefs that shape how I coach, teach, and lead.
Why I Coach
The longer I coached, the more I realized I wanted to become the mentor I wish I'd had growing up. I want to be intentional, available, and invested in helping athletes grow as players, leaders, and people.
Winning matters, and so does losing. Both teach lessons if you're willing to learn from them. Long after the scores are forgotten, I hope the people I've coached remember how they were challenged, supported, and believed in.
01“Champions are built long before the trophy.”
Faith
An important part of my life that shapes the way I lead, serve, and build relationships.
It has taught me the importance of humility, accountability, and caring for people beyond basketball.
Relationships
As I coach the player, I want to know the person.
Meaningful coaching begins with meaningful relationships.
Attitude
Character is revealed when adversity arrives.
You can't control every circumstance, but you can always control how you respond.
04Standards
The standard should lead, not the mood.
Motivation fades. Standards remain.
Leadership
Leadership is both a responsibility and a reward.
It's about earning trust through your actions and making those around you better.
06Teaching
Coaching is teaching.
I want athletes to understand the game, not just memorize it.
On Excellence
“Outcomes are a distraction. Focusing on the process of what you have to do to get the outcome is the most important thing you need to do.”Nick Saban
I believe success isn't something you chase. It is something that naturally follows when your daily habits, standards, and attitude consistently align with your purpose.
